Ductless Plus saved our hides!In May of 2024 we agreed to a replacement HVAC project with what appeared to be a highly rated local contractor. Three months later the project we had signed up for was in shambles.The original contractor (name being withheld pending possible litigation) had effectively abandoned us.We were initially told the project would take less than two weeks. We were also told that no up-front payment would be required. That situation changed quickly when after the first few days of installation the owner called to request 50% payment for the hardware already delivered. We agreed to the request but that should have been a warning sign.We were out of town in early June when the contractor advised their work had been completed and they requested the remaining 50% payment. Being trusting of these guys and without having tested the system ourselves we remitted full payment. Yes – that was a mistake!Once we arrived home, we were disappointed to see that our project was not completed. Although it appeared all hardware had been installed, the facts were that nothing worked – nothing!Throughout the summer the project dragged on and on, neither our heating nor cooling equipment worked for more than one day. Two months of nothing getting done were taken up by excuses such as:• Wifi connectivity investigations• Multiple excuses for and attempts to address the coil frost errors• A reported control panel failure• A reported blown fuse issue• Contractor had other high priority projects• At one point the contractor’s truck broke down• An occasional week or longer between contractor visits where we received no status information whatsoeverIn mid-August we fired the that contractor. At that point with summer about to end and the cold season about to start we found ourselves in a situation with no cooling and no heating. Perhaps worse, we contacted two other HVAC contractors for help. Neither of them wanted any part of trying to fix someone else’s mess.Fortunately, around this time we found Jared and his great Ductless Plus team on the Internet. They agreed to help us.Jared met with us the following week and he provided us with the following assessments.• The overall design of our system was invalid. The heat pump setup that had been implemented would not even pass the design tool that Mitsubishi expects of their installation professionals. This system install should never have been attempted!• There had been no attempt made to shield the Mitsubishi compressor from the elements – even though there was a suitable structural overhang less than 20 feet away.• A number of implementation items that did not meet code or did not meet Industry best practices. For example, certain indoor electrical components had been installed outside.• There were drain lines in the attic that did not flow downhill – potentially accumulating moisture for months.• The attic fluid lines were undersized and their flow was impeded by hard bends vs. the industry best practice of rounded bends.• Some of our initial investment was salvageable, however significant additional costs would be required to salvage the project.• Ductless Plus could not promise that they would not encounter any unexpected issues with our system’s original implementation.• Having said that, Ductless Plus was able and willing to take on the liability of salvaging our project.• A silver lining was that the Ductless Plus solution would (if all went as planned) provide with additional system functionality – albeit at significant extra cost to us.It is now early November; our cooling & heating functionality are in great shape thanks to Jared & team. We may possibly be the biggest fans of Ductless Plus.So, with the cold weather season starting, the Ductless Plus folks have saved our hides – literally!We hope this long-winded account will help others to avoid the lessons we’ve learned.

1 year review owning this system: TLDR- this is one of the best things I've ever purchased, the system works flawlessly, and the Ductless Plus team was outstanding.July 2023 I had 4 Mitsubishi Electric ceiling mounted heat/cool units installed in upstairs bedrooms with one large condenser outside. My second floor struggled immensely in the summer to stay cool. The home's existing HVAC design poorly managed to transport cold air from the basement blower up to the second floor. Other HVAC companies quoted installing a new traditional HVAC system but the geometry and physical layout of airducts and airflow simply didn't allow for effective cooling on the 2nd floor no matter how large of a system I purchased. After ample online research, I discovered the ductless system and saw some of Jared's YouTube videos (see channel "Ductless Plus HVAC"). I was pleasantly surprised he was in the Denver area and I called him out to my home.As we scoped the project, Jared advised me on the best placement for all parts - the ceiling units, the outdoor condenser, and even the concealed track for the electrical, freon, and drain lines.Jared and his team (Chris, Logan, Johnny, and Denver) installed the project over a 5-day period, Monday thru Friday, just as his project plan outlined. I had a new baby on the way and his team even expedited the project to get on their schedule sooner. At the end of each day of work, his crew walked me room through room to show how well they had cleaned my home. They were meticulous and thoughtful to take care of their work and clean up daily. These guys worked so hard spending hours in an upstairs attic in July and I'm grateful of the tough work and time they put in.This technology is a cheat code for comfort and peace of mind amidst scorching summers and sub-zero winters. As far as the equipment goes, these units are unbelievably easy to use and they work FAST... heating or cooling a room to a desired temperature in a matter of minutes. They are incredibly quiet (including the outdoor unit - it makes 10% of the noise of my existing condenser), and the remote controls are simple to navigate. The maintenance is essentially zero - pop out a simple filter once/month, rinse and let air dry, and pop back in.Overall, this project was a huge investment - Mitsubishi Electric units are top of the line and you're getting a masterful installation with lengthy warranty on parts and labor - but considering the value of what you're getting: room by room climate control that's fast, quiet, and efficient and will last for decades - you pay a premium but you get a premium. And when the time comes to replace my existing HVAC systems, I can reduce the size and cost because the second floor is taken care of with the ductless system.A+, 5/5, 100%, all of the above. Ductless Plus installed a ductless mini-split heat pump at my residence three years ago. They did an excellent job. But more impressive is the continuing service they have provided since then. Recently, I was making a change to the whole house humidifier on my furnace. I installed a resistor of the wrong value which shut down furnace as well as the humidifier. It was late afternoon, I thought it was going to be a wintry night in the house. I called Jared and explained my problem. After I told him the symptoms, he told me to replace the 24-volt control circuit fuse. Amazingly, he accurately diagnosed the problem over the phone and the house was warm that night.

We have never had AC in our 70's ranch in Fort Collins. We just had the crew from Ductless Plus install a 4 zone hyper heat system in our home. Nothing but positives. From the initial visit from Jared and Don to explain the systems and calculate the sizes we'd need, to the great guys who came out to do the work. Friendly, polite, and easy to have in the house. Denver and Chris were the more senior techs, and we could tell that Denver was very thorough and patient- teaching the newer guys all the ins and outs of the best practices.The install for 4 zones, plus the attic work, branch box install, and hooking everything up outside took 3 days. Part of that time was because I decided to change the location of the wall unit for the main large open living area. They just rolled with it, and we're thrilled with the results. Ceiling cassettes are awesome! Looking forward to staying toasty this winter too. They may even set us up with a wireless gizmo that monitors in real time how much power we're using to run these. (TBD). Thanks- we're so happy we chose this company.

Bob SI contacted Ductless Plus LLC to supplement my air conditioning and heating in 3 rooms in my house that the furnace just couldn't keep up. Jared reviewed the spaces and made excellent recommendations to supplement those rooms. I knew if I did not use a ductless systems, I would have paid much more than I did for the Ductless System. His guys came out on time like he said and we didn't have to really move anything. They come prepared to make sure your home is not damaged. They cleaned up after themselves. The units they installed in my ceilings look like they have always been there. A truly professional job. Christopher and Denver were the primary technicians and they were knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They definitely knew what they were doing. I selected this company after reading all the positive reviews and lived up to my expectations. If I ever add more units, they would be the company I would call.

Our home has 3 stories with central air conditioning. The upstairs never cooled off and was really hot during the summer and cold during the winter. We had a mitsubishi heat pump installed in the bedroom upstairs. It has been fantastic. I can control the temperature and make it as cool as I want. I am sleeping much better and only sorry that we waited so long to have it installed. They cleaned up after themselves and showed me everything I needed to know to operate it and maintain it.

With the summer fast approaching, we were concerned that our current 5 ton A/C unit would once again not adequately cool our home, particularly the master bedroom. Our upstairs bedrooms never would be properly heated in the winter nor cooled in the summer. We contacted 5 vendors, 3 carrying Mitsubishi mini split systems and 2 carrying Daiken systems. The Mitsubishi mini split system came in a little more expensive than the Daiken system. However, when comparing the system components, it is my opinion that the Mitsubishi system was superior.After deciding that the Mitsubishi mini split was the way to go, we compared vendors and Jared and Ductless Plus were clearly at the top of our list. It was apparent that Ductless Plus installed many of the sort of system needed for my home and were truly mini split system experts. They built my system using actual measurements of the rooms versus eyeball estimates. Their bid came in very competitively priced with the other venders, however, the system components they proposed were far superior to the other vendors and thus a better value.The Ductless Plus installation team was outstanding. They were the best crew of HVAC contractors that I have had the opportunity to do work at my home. They were always on time, organized, efficient, knowledgeable, clean and neat and very personable. They installed an MXZSM48 Smart outside multi unit with 4 one way ceiling cassettes indoor units for each of the 4 bedrooms. The installs were done in a thoughtful manner and not just slapped up on the ceiling in a random location where it would be easiest to install. The install of the ceiling units were precisely measured and placed to be symetrical in the room while also taking into account the optimum location for cooling and heating. The Jeffco electrical and mechanical inspections all passed the first time with no issues.Most importantly, the A/C system works as advertised. It easily cools each of the bedrooms and we only have used our 5 ton unit for the rest of the downstairs for a couple of hours so far.I highly recommend Ductless Plus without any reservations.

My existing mechanical system was poorly designed. Several areas had different temperatures and my home was very uncomfortable. Jared and the Ductless Plus team did an outstanding job on the installation of our Multi Zone System in two bedrooms of our home. The Multi-Zone system was so good that I had them come back and install a Single Zone system in our main floor Living Room and WOW what a difference. The Excel rebates were icing on the cake. The installs were quick, clean (using clean zone to mask off the area where they worked so dust did not filter all over the house) and the best job we have experienced of all the contractors we have used. Jared and his team did a fantastic job installing a mini-split heat pump in our old home to replace a furnace that was barely hanging on (30+ years old). Ductless Plus came highly recommended by a family member who was familiar with their great work and skill. As a new homeowner, I had a lot of questions and Jared answered each of them patiently and knowledgeably before we got started and throughout construction. I thought installing a mini-split system in our older home would be impossible without a lot of exterior surface pipes protruding across the outside of the house. The Ductless Plus team installed everything (ceiling cassettes, lines, drains, etc) inside our short attic spaces... amazing! We were pleased with the crew the entire time and their work was excellent. We installed the system to enjoy air conditioning for the first time in 30 years but with a November install, we are enjoying the quiet comfortable heat, too. I recently purchased a home in Denver which was converted from a commercial machine shop, and had one or two unique challenges when considering an HVAC system (no previous HVAC system, low ceilings, brick and concrete block walls, and built largely without permits at different iterations since 1934). I had three different HVAC companies come to my home to talk to me about installing a 2 to 3-zone ductless minsplit system, and after Jared of Ductless Plus came to talk with me, I knew I didn’t have to look any further. He and the rest of the crew at Ductless Plus are so knowledgeable and experienced with this type of system and with the top of the line equipment (Mitsubishi) they sell and install, I was confident I was getting the right system for my home and one which would last probably longer than I will. In addition, Jared understood my aesthetic considerations in terms of where the interior air handlers and the outdoor compressor were to be placed. This enable a dialogue that included both the science of HVAC and the art of interior design so that maximum benefit was achieved in both of those potentially conflicting areas of the overall system design.I met with Jared on Wednesday and he wanted to install beginning that Friday. The others I had spoken with told me of potential delays due to logistic issues with the equipment. I hesitated at first because I was going to be out of town for a week during the time which he wanted to be working, but I have a security system that allowed me to grant him and his crew access while I was gone, so I let them move forward.When I came home, it was like entering a different place entirely. First let me say Jared and his crew had cleaned up after the installation such that I wouldn’t have known they were there at all, with the huge exception of my home being a wonderful 74 degrees when I walked in. When I left, my home would at times be hotter than it was outside. On the regular 90+ degree days we had this summer it was rarely below 85-90 inside my house during the day. Jared and I connected the day following my return, as he wanted to show me personally all I needed to know about the system and how it functioned; how to program the remotes, and what each of the different modes of operation are.In addition to Jared and everyone at Ductless Plus being thorough and experts in their field, they also offer discounts of their own, and were aware of all the rebates and discounts offered by Mitsubishi and by Xcel Energy, and Jared handled the paperwork for it all (which can be confusing and needs to be precise). I was able to get a system that was perfect for the size and configuration of my home, and the latest technology available, for thousands less than I would’ve paid elsewhere.I have nothing but good things to say about my new miniplit system, Jared, and Ductless Plus. My home is such of cool space aesthetically as it was before Jared appeared, but it is also now a cool place to be even when it’s hotter than hell outside. I recommend Ductless Pros unconditionally and with no hesitation, to anyone who is looking to have a minisplit system installed in their space, regardless of what that space is.

Quality Products and WorkmanshipDuctless Plus was wonderful throughout the entire planning, contracting, installation and support process.I contacted four HVAC vendors to purchase two new mini-split systems for our home in Evergreen. One never returned my call; one responded with a one-line estimate and no details; and one responded with a few details in the estimate but with products from a manufacturer that has poor reviews.Jared, from Ductless Plus, came to our home and sat with me to discuss the equipment, installation and options. He provided a written estimate with three different options using Mitsubishi equipment which has the best industry and consumer ratings. Jared showed me factors to consider such as the de-rating of heating/cooling capacities at our altitude of 7,800 feet here in the foothills and the optional features that would enable the equipment to maintain its high heating efficiencies during our cold winters. These factors were never mentioned by the other vendors. (I later verified these factors and impacts with online searches.) The estimate included equipment model numbers and a list of accessory items for the installation. It also included a 12 year warranty on the equipment. The estimate from Ductless Plus wasn’t the cheapest - but I’m convinced it was the best value.Ductless Plus was able to start installation within three weeks. The installation crew arrived on-time and finished the installation of both systems in two days. Their workmanship was great and they discussed installation details with me before proceeding to ensure I would be satisfied with their final work and they thoroughly cleaned up the work areas.Even if you should decide to go with another vendor, I recommend you get an estimate from Ductless Plus to know what questions to ask and what a quality estimate and service looks like.

After last summer without having any AC in our house, we decided this year we could not continue to work from home and not have some type of cooling. Since our house had baseboard heating and no ducts, the best option would be minisplits. I spent a fair amount of time reading about the best and from what I could tell Mitsubishi was bar none the best on the market. Through their site I found a handful of local contractors, including Ductless Plus. I originally planned on getting multiple quotes and going through the typical process of comparing contractors price. Jared, at Ductless, was our first and ONLY contractor we spoke with about our project. Prior to his visit, we watched a handful of the Youtube videos that showed other home installations. From those videos it was very clear that Ductless did an amazing job installing the units. When we visited other contractors websites, most of them only did minisplits as an afterthought, and primarily focused on traditional forced air AC. When we met Jared, his enthusiasm, combined with his willingness to explain all the project details and how things were going to happen, made it a very easy decision for us to go with him. We might have been able to get a few dollars off at another contractor, but I don't see how we would ever be this happy with the installation! Now that it has been hot, these little units do an amazing job of keeping our bedrooms and main living space very comfortable. I can without any reservation recommend Ductless Plus. Checkout out their videos and talk with them, I don't think you can find a better experience.

I got 3 bids on a mini split system, and went with Ductless Plus. Jared knows SO MUCH about heating and cooling. He took an hour and a half to do my estimate, he was so thorough. Examined all my electrical, did a bunch of measurements to make sure the unit we were getting would cool the space. The other two companies were out in 20 minutes. Everyone else sent their sales guy but Jared came out himself and then did the installation. They were on time for everything, honest in their pricing, and they were cheaper than the other two bids. And their bid included repairing the wall from the old in wall unit that none of the other companies would touch.

After 23 years of life my central AC had reached the end. Being the end of summer, I had the luxury of a little time to make a good decision before cooling season rolled around again. I also was thinking about replacing the furnace (same age) and adding an air-cleaner plus a humidifier while I was at it. Hiring Ductless Plus turned out to be not just the good decision I was hoping for, but an excellent one.I met with several HVAC companies. Big names, good experience and well-deserved reputations from all. Jared was different. First, he’s the owner – you’re speaking and working directly with the owner every step of the way – it shows. Before he even came to the house we chatted by phone for 30 minutes one night on how HVAC works, which of my rooms were hot and cold and why that likely was, and so on – it was a master class for free that every homeowner might want to know on how heat moves (or doesn’t move) through a house. He made a couple trips out after that knowing that I was not in a hurry and interested in collecting bids from other companies– we talked a lot – not just about what size systems to install and at what efficiency levels, but also what comfort challenges I’d had in the past with my old system, the pros and cons of the different air-cleaners on the market now (I went with the iWave over a UV system), as well as my options for humidity management. Last but not least we discussed budget – it’s important, HVAC systems are understandably not cheap – it was refreshingly direct and honest as we reviewed where I might save on budget and where I might think of upgrading for performance.Install day was great. Jared along with Denver and Doug are pros. They showed up on time, the house was surely cleaner when they left than when they had arrived to be honest. They also rebuilt (expanded) several parts of my return-air system to increase air-flow while they were at it, it makes a huge difference as I actually downsized from my old equipment specs, (which was significantly over-sized). Denver even put in a quick dry-wall patch for me where I had made a cut previously, he didn't have to do that - he just did it. Impressive to say the least.Two-weeks post-install the house is more comfortable than it’s ever been – the basement and the bedroom above the garage that used to be at least 10-degrees different in the winter are now nearly indistinguishable in terms of room temperatures and I couldn’t be more pleased. I even had questions about how to adjust and use my system several days after the install – no problem at all, the entire Ductless Plus team popped back over again to walk me through things. I am saying this only because I have experience being screwed by professional service providers. This company and its owner (Jared) are straight shooters. Use them for anything HVAC related. While he wasn't the cheapest quote I received for me you get what you pay for! His crew - Denver & Doug - were professional, on time and did their job all day while I did mine from home as well. We bid out the installation of mini split system for our main bedroom on our second floor that has been historically difficult to cool in the summer. Jared from Ductless Plus came out and us a very thorough explanation of how their mini split systems work. His bid was quite reasonable. They were aboe to install out system within a few days of their bid. They came on time and finished the entire installation the same day. They were friendly, polite, clean, and knowledgable. We highly recommend them.

Exceptional service from Jared, Denver, and Doug–always on time, honestly and integrity, great communication throughout, attention to detail, and high quality work. They did a furnace replacement and added AC for us in our historic row house. Beyond doing great work, Jared and his team nailed the details–they took the time to replace a duct that had corroded, moved another duct elbow so I won't hit my head 2x a week forever, tossed in 6 months of filters, and were just a friendly and tidy crew. I'd highly recommend.

I have lived in a 115 year old house 3 story historic house for almost 20 years. I didn’t think that air conditioning was even a possibility. I have been miserable in the summers for so long until I decided to take a chance with Ductless Plus. I was even skeptical until Jared turned the units on and suddenly I was actually cool...really cool!!! Jared and his team were so kind and respectful. I know that I presented a huge challenge, but they were exceptional. They even met and worked with an insulation team to figure out how to insulate so the units will work most efficiently. I had some cosmetic concerns thinking that mini splits might be ugly in a house that I’ve worked so hard to renovate, but the ceiling cassettes are fine, I don’t even notice them now. I’m very grateful for this company.

Jared is a wizard when it comes to mini split AC units! Put a contact request in on his website on Saturday not thinking I would hear back until Monday, nope Jared called me 5 mins later and then came out Sunday to give me a quote and then installed my new unit on Tues. Jared, Doug & Denver did an excellent job and fast! These guys deserve 5+ stars and I'd highly recommend them for all your HVAC needs!

My wife and I spent our first summer in our new home using an attic fan to cool off our days and nights. We decided we needed a big change for the next summer and finding Ductless Plus HVAC was a great find. The team (Jared, Doug and Denver) gave us amazing service. They responded to every email and phone call promptly, and they also communicated all service times and information my wife and I needed throughout the entire process. They were a friendly and trustworthy team from day one. They also are professionals who clean up after themselves and protect your home through the install. They left our home the way it looked when they arrived each day. We had three cassettes installed and they are barely noticeable and extremely quit. We can already feel a huge difference in what they are doing to our house! Remote controlled and we downloaded an app to control from our phone. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the units and the service!

A couple of years ago, Jared and Denver installed a full HVAC replacement for my home - and I could not have been more pleased with the end result. Wow. I Had called just about every heating company in Denver and I was convinced there was no way I’d get Air conditioning in my old house. Jared, Denver and Doug installed 2 ductless Mitsubishi hyper heat systems for me with 6 zones using the kumo cloud control. He also installed IWave air purifiers to each of the unit heads. He also installed a Rinaii tankless domestic hot water heater. Jared has done a lot of mechanical work for me over the years at my commercial properties. Ductless has it's advantages.
